The Brooklyn Navy Yard is a historic site that is a central part of New York's long and colorful history dating back to 1625.
When planning for a Museum they were looking for Concrete Polish on pre-cast cement slabs. During transportation, these slabs developed microscopic cracks throughout the slab.
Green Earth Floors along with TRU's Kenny Vallens developed what they needed to keep the cracks from telegraphing through on the pour by changing the prep.
The TRU topping was brought up to an 800 grit finish before the stain guard was applied.
We managed to achieve the natural look that the client was looking for - they said the floor lived up to the look and feel and were very happy with the finished project.
